LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Modular Closets, now offering DIY options direct to the consumer, recently released a new color: Driftwood Grey with a woodgrain finish.

A higher-end look for a darker, more modern touch to a closet space,  Driftwood Grey represents the beginning of Modular’s product development and expansion efforts, with much more to come, the company says.

In early 2015, Modular Closets launched its flagship “Modular Closet” available in a modern white finish. The Modular Closet is comprised of the four sections - shelves, drawers, double hanging and tall hanging. These  sections each come in three to four sizes, allowing customers to mix and match sections and sizes. By manufacturing these easy-to-assemble closet organizer sections out of sturdy construction-grade birch wood, Modular Closets are the plywood DIY closet solution. The construction-grade birch 5-foot closet organizer with two types of hanging and shelves starts at $299, the company says..

Additional product features include solid birch wood drawer boxes with dovetail corner joints and push-to-open slides.

Modular's beginnings

Primarily focusing on the multi-family residential high-rise market at first, Modular first gained contracts to install closets in apartment buildings across the country. With positive feedback, in April 2016 Modular Closets revamped and relaunched its e-commerce website, which now serves homeowners and contractors.
