JELD-WEN Expands Molded Impression Interior Door Line

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — When is a door, not just a door? When it’s part of the JELD-WEN Molded Impression™ Interior Door line it functions as a chalkboard, a magnetic bulletin board, or a mirror. Chalk it up to looking great and performing double duty.

JELD-WEN Expands Molded Impression Interior Door LineThe JELD-WEN Molded Impression™ Interior Door series now includes a magnetic chalkboard design. The JELD-WEN Impression Magnetic Chalkboard door features a classic schoolhouse-black chalkboard that doubles as a magnetic bulletin board. The large utility surface is made of durable steel pre-painted with chalk-ready paint.

“Kid’s rooms, mud rooms, offices or pantries – there are so many applications for our magnetic chalkboard door,” said Derek Brosterhous, JELD-WEN’s director of product marketing. “Because it’s a chalkboard and magnetic bulletin board all-in-one, it’s a handy organizational tool for the heart of any busy home.”

But homes aren’t the only place these doors are useful. They’re also a winning idea for a coach’s office, break room or business office.

Another practical solution is the Impression™ Mirror door, which was the first design in the Impression line when JELD-WEN created it more than 10 years ago. The Impression Mirror door has long been a success because it creates the effect of a bigger room and helps save precious wall space. With the mirror on the door you don’t have to hang a separate full-length mirror in small bathrooms, bedrooms, or narrow hallways. Durable and beautifully crafted, the Impression Mirror is built to standard heights and widths to fit a variety of design needs.

What’s new today is that any one of JELD-WEN’s 16 molded panel designs can be selected for the opposite side of the door. Previously, the flip side of the door was limited to just a few molded panel designs. Not only are there now two great designs in the Impression line – Magnetic Chalkboard and Mirror – any of JELD-WEN’s interior molded panel designs can be used on the other side of the door.

“Offering any one of our 16 molded panel designs on the opposite side makes our Impression doors even more viable for remodeling applications where matching the home’s existing doors is a requirement,” explained Brosterhous. “Now you can upgrade your bathroom door to a mirror door and select a panel design for the other side that matches the molded doors in your home. Or upgrade your pantry door to a magnetic chalkboard without worrying whether the flip side will fit the existing style of your home.”
