Cabinet manufacturers sales up 8.5 percent in 2015, says KCMA

RESTON, Va. - Cabinet manufacturers reported sales totaling $6.5 billion for 2015, up 8.5 percent from 2014, says the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association,  marking 47 consecutive months of improvement. 
 
According to the KCMA’s monthly Trend of Business Survey, participating cabinet manufacturers reported sales totaling $6.5 billion for 2015 up +8.5 percent compared to total sales for 2014. Stock sales were up +12.3 percent; semi-custom sales were up +4.2 percent; and custom sales were up +13.6 percent.
 
December 2015 monthly sales were up +14.8 percent compared to December 2014. Stock sales were up +19.1 percent; semi-custom sales were up +9.7 percent; custom sales were up +20.6 percent compared to December 2014.
 
Survey participants include stock, semi-custom and custom companies whose combined sales represent approximately 70 percent of the fragmented U.S. kitchen cabinet and bath vanity market. KCMA is the major trade association for manufacturers of kitchen cabinets, bath vanities, and key suppliers of goods and services to the industry. All major U.S. cabinet manufacturing companies belong to KCMA. Sixty-three percent of KCMA cabinet manufacturer members report sales under $10 million annually, reflecting the importance of small manufacturers in the industry. KCMA has been compiling and reporting industry sales data for over forty years.
