ANAHEIM, CA –  Playing a prominent role in this year’s AWFS Fair is a new feature called The AWFS Stage, a show-floor destination which will be the site for a variety of programs, including a line-up of software intensives.

Formatted as “drop-by and learn sessions,” this host of software presentations is designed to give show-goers a taste of the variety of industry-specific software on the market , and assist them in making informed choices for their own work environments.

A series of 30-minute presentations will run on all four days of the show. Participating companies include: Alphacam-Cabinetvision-Cabnetware, KCD, CabinetPro’s SimplyPowerful Software, RSA Solutions (formerly Roger Shaw), Mozaik, Microvellum, CIM-Tech, TopSolid, Mastercam, DelCam, Amazon Canvas and Weinig USA. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about software features, applications and problem-solving.

“Learning about software is a priority for attendees so this is an attempt to address that priority,” says Steve Regele, chair of the College of Woodworking Knowledge Committee for education at the AWFS Fair.

Topics range from maximizing CNC capabilities and using tablet PCs in your shop to learning tips for purchasing software, researching software, online learning and more.

“We are very excited, this is a unique opportunity,” says one participating company. “We exhibit in a lot of shows but no one has offered this to us before.” Slots for The Stage presentations filled immediately upon being offered to software companies. The Stage will be located on the main show floor, in Booth #5531.
