Easy Steps to Laser Engraving

03/12/2012 10:53:00 AM

Epilog LaserEpilog Laser Laser systems can be used to customize products for a wide range of applications and industries, including: award and wood engraving, signage and gun stock checkering. The systems can range in price from a few thousand to tens of thousands, depending on the speed (stepper vs. servo motors), engraving table size and laser wattage, and offer a repeatability of ±0.0005 inch.

Lasers can work like a printer, which means that many graphic programs can be used effectively with the machine. Simply set up the page in the computer, import the image and/or add text and have the computer set to print to the laser. Choose the laser parameters and the media, then select the file/design at the laser. Once the item to be engraved is placed in the laser, select Go and the job will proceed.

We here at GnomeWorks Puzzles love our Epilog laser.
They are not cheap, but you get what you pay for when it comes to a laser.
Also, you cannot believe what these things can do! We are always finding something
new to use it for.
