An 18-wheeler flipped on Interstate 10 Tuesday afternoon spilling its cargo of plywood all over the highway, according to the Beaumont Enterprise. One of the paper’s reporters shot a video showing how emergency crews got the flatbed truck back on its wheels. Read more. 
 







A Florida couple is seeking the owner of these
festive cut-outs of Disney characters left on their
lawn before Christmas.

This Xmas 'gift' is just plain Goofy
SEMINOLE, FL – A married couple, who found about a dozen plywood Christmas decorations bearing Disney characters on their lawn, is seeking to return them to their rightful owner. The couple suspects the festive cartoon cut-outs were put on their lawn about a week before Christmas as a prank. After police were unable to locate the owner, the couple pitched their story to the Seminole Beacon in the hope that the person who made them would step forward and retrieve them. Read more.

Ex-plywood worker bequeaths $40k to animal shelter
ROSEBURG, OR - The News-Review reported that Lewis A. Gebhardt of Roseburg remembered Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center in his will, giving the local shelter $40,381. He worked most of his life in plywood mills as a plant electrician; he died in June 2008. Read more.
