Own a Home and Find Love

Nothing says love like, "I'm a homeowner," according to a brand new survey from Trulia, a real estate services site.

The survey reveals that singles who are homeowners are more likely to find love (or at least a date). Sixty-two percent of respondents preferred singles who lived alone.

And when it comes to living in a house in the suburbs or an apartment in the city, 33 percent preferred the house in the 'burbs. Whether the home is owned or rented doesn't seem to be a deal breaker, but 28 percent still prefer the person they're dating to own the home versus renting, 2 percent.

The home features most likely to sweep that special someone off their feet - master bath, walk-in closet and gourmet kitchen, in that order, and highly attractive to both men and women.

So, instead of getting the traditional bouquet of roses and chocolates for Valentine's Day, perhaps a realtor and a remodeler would be the better investment.
