Although the former exercise room had ample floor space and vaulted ceilings, the angled walls created a space planning challenge. Several options were considered and ultimately the problem was solved by designing a full-height floating island in the center of the room.

A closet fit for a little princess. With enough room for her gowns and everyday clothes. The closet was designed to fit her wardrobe as she gets older.

We designed this room to function as a full-time home school classroom with room for each of their three kids.

The heart of the home is the kitchen, where family and friends enjoy gathering. Therefore, the design of this 990 sq. ft. area incorporates fun and functionality with elegant appointments on beautifully finished all wood cabinetry.

The veneers were stitched and laid up in a hot press, and book matched and center matched. Initial sanding to remove glue was done on a wide belt sander, followed by hand sanding to 180 grit.

The top shape has an appropriately nautical feel, and provides the needed surface area without presenting any unfriendly sharp corners to passersby.
