The next-generation event for manufacturers, specifiers and suppliers to the allied cabinet and closet industries takes place Feb. 27-March 1, 2013 at the Sheraton Edison Hotel Raritan Center and the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center in Edison.
The Cabinets & Closets Conference & Expo will feature a pair of conferences – one dedicated to custom cabinet professionals and the other to storage professionals involved in the design, manufacture and installation of closets, garages and other home organization systems. The conference sets the stage for the expanded Cabinets & Closets Expo, a two-day exhibition of supplies, software, machinery and services.

Robert Reiss will deliver the keynote. The Cabinets & Closets Conference kicks off on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at the Sheraton Edison Hotel Raritan Center, the headquarters hotel for the new event.
Robert Reiss, host of the CEO Show with Robert Reiss, will deliver the opening keynote speech as part of a general session open to delegates of both the Cabinets and Closets Conferences. The general session will also feature highlights of a new Vance Research project focused on custom cabinet and closet business and design trends.
The Cabinets Conference, co-sponsored by the Cabinet Makers Assn. (CMA) and Custom Woodworking Business (CWB), will include a full slate of presentations geared to helping custom cabinetmakers improve efficiencies and generate more sales. Each session will be presented by a CMA member and attendees will be eligible to earn CEUs toward the CMA’s Professional Certification Program. Preliminary topics include:
• Moving from Residential to Commercial Projects
• Automating Manufacturing
• Working with Designers/Architects
The Closets Conference is co-sponsored by the Association of Closet and Storage Professionals (ACSP) and Closets magazine. The power-packed lineup will include presentations on harnessing the power of digital marketing and social media to engage current and potential customers, plus how to build a winning team and grow sales.
“The digital world is the new frontier,” said Dave Skinner, ACSP president. “Our goal is to demystify it, show you how it is important to your business, give you the knowledge that you need to know and finally, show you what to do next.”
Skinner said sales “is the lifeblood of every business. We all want to know what forms of marketing works and even more, what doesn’t.” Skinner said the sales session will include an “information exchange” from a diverse cross section of the ACSP leadership, all owners of independent home storage companies.
