One of the country's largest decking suppliers and manufacturers AdvantageLumber.com is warning customers to be careful of "Ipe Wood" and "Brazilian Walnut" decking products from other manufacturers - as often they're actually made of plastic.

Advantage Trim & Lumber Co.'s online sales channel, AdvantageLumber.com, has acquired one of the largest hardwood lumber mills in Northern Brazil, Companhia Madeireira. Terms of the acquisition were not released.

AdvantageLumber.com is opening a 50,000 square foot manufacturing and distribution facility in Los Angeles (Santa Fe Springs), California. This facility will be operational within a few weeks and will service California and West Coast contractors, designers, and homeowners with affordable and sustainable hardwood decking materials.
