We have extended the deadline to Nov. 7 to give you more time to put together your portfolio. Entries are accepted in the following categories: Residential Furniture Freestanding, Architectural Millwork, Residential Furniture Built-in, Kitchen/Bath Cabinets, Specialty Products, Commercial/Institutional, Laminate Casework and Solid Surface.

It is our 19th year of sponsoring this awards program, and it is always amazing to see the outstanding projects and the complex designs and expert craftsmanship. This year in partnership with the Cabinet Makers Association (CMA), the CWB Design Portfolio will highlight CMA members who enter the contest as well as feature winners from the 2011 CMA Wood Diamond Awards.

Judging for the Design Portfolio Awards will be done on the basis of appearance and quality of construction, according to the information you provide about the project and the artwork submitted, with emphasis on design creativity and functionality.

All projects entered must have been completed since January 1, 2010, and must have been built for an outside customer (i.e. someone other than an employee of the shop submitting the entry).

The CWB Design Portfolio entry fee is $45 per entry and payable online via credit card.  

Winners and honorable mentions will be announced and featured in the upcoming issues of CWB.
